Journal of a trip to the Yellowstone Park, 1875.

The journal, written after the events, describes the preparations for the expedition, the trip from St. Paul to Bismarck, Dakota Territory, and Carroll, Montana Territory. There is an account of Capt. Ludlow's reconnaissance, which James Wilson plotted, from Carroll to Camp Baker, Fort Ellis, Mammoth Springs, and Yellowstone Park.
